Valentino SS17 Haute Couture

Pierpaolo Piccioli, flying solo in control of Valentino couture for the first time, On Thursday, January 25, 2017 In Paris.

'Dreams make us human; they go down to who each of us are, in ourselves, That thought had led him back to Greek myths and legends, because they were the beginning of naming human feelings.' Said Piccioli.

Pierpaolo Piccioli offered one of Valentino's most casual Couture collections so far. The billowing, flowing volumes, which are so dear to the Italian house, still dominated, but gone were the sumptuous adornments and romantic embellishments, as they were replaced by sleek and pleated pastel hued garments with hints of vivid colors.

Essence and truth nestles in dreams, where time does not exist and reality is the result of imagination. For the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2017 by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli presented silhouettes in classical forms. Straight and vertical which open up, which quiver with rouches, which vibrate with weaves followed by one and another with the magic of the absence of effort accompanied by the music exclusively created by composer Alexandre Desplat and conducted by Solrey.
